Template Structure
The template is divided into the following key sections:
- Quick Action Panel: For quickly changing your Fronting status, opening new journal entries, or adding new alter profiles.
- Currently Fronting: See who is currently fronting from the main page. This will automatically update to reflect any items in the Fronting Log that do not currently include an end time.
- Alter Profiles: Organize information on each of your alters. Each profile includes tabs for the corresponding fronting history, upcoming calendar events, journal entries, and messages sent to them from other alters.
- Fronting Log: Includes your entire fronting history in chronological order. It also includes a bar graph view that is set up to show you the total hours each alter has fronted per month.
- Journal Entries, Therapy Notes, and Treatment Log: All three of these are hosted in the same database, organized by the type of entry you are making. You can update each entry to reflect which alter is/was involved.
- Calendar: Keep track of your schedule. You can assign events to different alters.
- Systems: Includes information on your system and subsystems.
- System Rules: Space to document any rules that your system follows.
- Crisis Safety Plan: Make a plan in case of a mental health crisis.
- External Resources: A space I’ve added a few resources I know about (feel free to add any that you come across here too).
Update Who is Currently Fronting
Updating From the ‘Quick Action’ Panel
- Click End Current Front to automatically conclude the current fronter’s time.
- Click Start New Front to create a new page in the fronting log. The start time will automatically update to the current date and time.
- Under the ‘Alter’ property, select the name of the alter that is fronting. You can select as many as required. This will allow each alter’s data to be properly documented in the fronting log.
- You don’t need to change the page’s title, but you may also change it to the name of the fronting alter(s) if you’d like. The free version of notion does not allow automations, otherwise I would have had the title auto-update to reflect the selections made in the ‘Alter’ property.
- You can add any additional information to the ‘Notes’ property, or to the page itself.
